Art of Disability Festival Logo Contest

We are searching for a new logo for our Art of Disability Festival. Therefore, we are launching a contest for Nova Scotians with disabilities who are also artists, designers and creators. The winner will receive $250!

The contest will run from April 1 to April 30, 2020. Submissions for the contest must come through our online form. The contest will close on April 30 at 6:00 p.m. (Atlantic Standard Time.) Entries will then be distributed to ILNS staff and board members, who will vote on a winner. We will notify the winner on May 8 via email and announce the winning logo and artist on social media. 

You can go to the online form on APRIL 1, 2020; a link will be available on that date. On the same date, you will also be able to view a PDF version the form’s questions via PDF on the same date (on this webpage.)

Contest eligibility: 

  • Must be a permanent resident of Nova Scotia; 

  • Must self-identify as a person with a disability. 

Image Specifications: 

  1. Logo must be submitted in a digital file format;

  2. Artist must provide a vector file and PNG file type of the logo for online display;

  3. The largest size/resolution must be submitted for preferred ease of use.

Image Requirements: 

  1. The phrase “Art of Disability Festival” must be clearly indicated as part of the logo;

  2. Integration of the ILNS brand colors (light blue, navy blue, white, and black) must be present; 

  3. Preference will be given to submissions that reflect our mission and values;

    • Inspiration words: independence, community, accessibility, inclusivity, goals, choice. 

    • Refer to our organization’s current logo for further guidance and inspiration:

Other Rules and Guidelines: 

  1. ILNS has the right to disqualify any entry deemed inappropriate or fraudulent. 

  2. As part of the contest entry form, ILNS will request the following information from applicants: first name, last name, email address, telephone number.

  3. This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or any other social media platform. 

  4. By entering the contest, you are providing your information to Independent Living Nova Scotia and not to any other online platform.
